Gurgling sounds coming from the toilet Little to no water remaining in the toilet bowl A bathtub that drains slowly or not at all Sewage backing up into the toilet or tub Foul odors in the basement or yard, indicating sewage may not be reaching the city sewer line—a potential health hazard Why does this happen? Lack of maintenance: Hair, grease, food waste, and sanitary products can build up, creating clogs, increasing pressure, and eventually causing cracks. Tree root intrusion: Roots seek out moisture and can enter through tiny openings or joints, pushing their way in until the pipe splits. Weather-related damage: Repeated ground freezing and thawing can stress sewer lines, leading to cracks or breaks. Frozen pipes: A single severe freeze inside the line can block, crack, or completely burst a sewer pipe. Earth movement: Earthquakes or nearby soil shifts can displace or damage sewer lines. Aging infrastructure: Old or deteriorating pipes naturally weaken and fail over time. Possible Solutions for a Broken Sewer Line Worried about your sewer line? Are tree roots invading your lateral? Do you suspect your pipes are leaking sewage beneath your property? Before a messy and costly disaster happens, wouldn’t it be great to have your sewer repaired or re-piped without the hassle? Call Brayton Plumbing! We offer quick, efficient, reliable, and long-lasting trenchless repair solutions. ore affordable. Possible Solutions for a Broken Sewer Line Brayton Plumbing uses advanced video camera inspection tools to locate and assess sewer line cracks and other damage. Every property and sewer system is unique, but based on the most common issues we encounter, our trenchless repair options may include: Pipe Relining Pipe relining creates a new pipe within your existing one. After thoroughly cleaning the sewer line, we insert a durable liner that hardens in place, sealing cracks and restoring the pipe to full function. New Sewer Pipe When appropriate, we can use hydraulic equipment to pull a new sewer pipe through the old, damaged line. As the new pipe is installed, the remnants of the old pipe are broken apart—providing a seamless, long-lasting replacement with minimal excavation. Preventive Maintenance We offer routine inspections and drain cleaning to help prevent grease, hair, and other debris from clogging or damaging your pipes. Regular maintenance can stop cracks before they form or catch problems early, when repairs are simpler and more affordable.

A common issue, but we know how to fix leaks and issues with toilets and faucets. We do them in our sleep! You’ll receive fast, friendly, and skilled plumbing service when you need it most. We also provide installation upgrades and repair services on all plumbing and mechanical fixtures in a home. Rust or puddling water: Moisture at the base of faucets or around sink, tub, or shower drains can indicate a hidden leak. Rising water bills: If your bill increases for no clear reason, it may be a sign of an undetected leak. Squeaky or hard-to-turn faucets: Noises or difficulty shutting the water off fully often mean a faucet is wearing out. Musty or moldy odor: Sometimes you’ll smell a leak before you can see or hear it. signs of a leaking toilet Unusual noises: Bubbling, gurgling, or groaning sounds from the pipes beneath or behind the toilet often indicate a leak—not a haunted bathroom. Unexpected water on the floor: Moisture may appear near the base of the toilet or even in areas farther away. Small leaks can travel along grout lines or be absorbed by rugs, making early signs easy to miss. Uneven flooring or loose tiles: A raised spot in the floor or tiles lifting around the toilet may signal a long-term, slow leak. Moldy or sewer odors: Persistent musty or sewage smells in the bathroom can be a warning that water is leaking or escaping from the toilet.
- Re-Pipe | Brayton Plumbing
Have a system that is designed terribly that needs re-pipping? We have you covered Repiping Your Home What Does a Repipe Job Include? Repiping a house can be costly, so it’s important to know whether you truly need it. Sometimes, low water pressure or other issues can be fixed with a simple repair or by replacing a single section of pipe. But when a full repipe is necessary, it’s a common job—and one we have extensive experience handling. Pipes naturally wear down over time, so if your home is 50 years old or more, or if you're seeing signs of aging pipes, it’s smart to have a licensed plumber inspect your system. If your home has lead pipes, a whole-house repipe is essential for health and safety. Copper pipes can also deteriorate or clog with sediment and eventually need replacement. While repiping may seem like a big project, addressing it early can prevent far more expensive problems—like burst pipes and major water damage. Why Should I Re-Pipe My Home? Pipe Leaks Water Discoloration Currently have lead pipes 50 years or older Poly-B Pipes deteriorate What are the Pros and Cons of Repiping? Low water pressure Temperature changes in sinks or showers when the toilet is flushed Slab leaks Rusty or yellow-colored water Average cost and cost per linear foot vary — call for an assessment and quote! The biggest factor to consider with repiping is cost. Even skilled DIYers still need a full inspection of the existing plumbing, plus the right materials and tools. If your pipes are still in good shape, repiping may not be the best investment right now. Call today to discuss your options and determine the best repiping solution for your home. The Best Material to Repipe a Home in Greater Vancouver If you choose to repipe your home, cross-linked polyethylene (PEX) has become the new industry standard. This plastic piping is more cost-effective than copper, lighter, easier to install, and extremely durable—often lasting for decades. When a premium option is needed, we use high-quality Wirsbo PEX tubing. The main challenge with repiping is the overall cost. Even skilled DIYers still require a full inspection, the right materials, and specialized tools. Our plumbing team has extensive experience repiping homes and businesses of all types, so you can feel confident you’re in good hands. Call anytime to discuss the details and determine what repiping your home would involve.
